Danny Wright was born a carnival worker's son. His father had the job of throwing pixy dust under the tilt-a-whirl. Danny remembers, "when I was a small child the family was confined to a 5x5 sleep loft, it may have been very small to some families of 8, but this was a place we called home." As Danny grew up he noticed the attention his mother was receiving at county fairs working the public address system, he remembers saying to himself, "wow, what a job, I want to do something like that when I grow up." In his teen years, Danny began filling in for his mother at county fairs and crafted his skill at paging fair goers. He later found his dream job of being on the radio when a local radio station owner was broadcasting his show and fell over dead of a heart attack Danny seeing that the crowd was shocked over this tragedy, grabbed the microphone from the man and began talking on the radio. From that day since Danny has been entertaining thousands of listeners every day.
Brian Shook
Brian Shook began his radio career over 15 years ago. He was raised on a dairy cattle farm in downtown Chicago, Illinois. For several years Brian was unable to figure out what his part in life was, until one cold July day when he was combining corn in a field be remembers hearing his father radio him on the tractor asking how the progress was coming. Brian grabbed for the band set of the CB radio and called back to his father saying " father, all the corn has been picked and it's ready to be taken to the mill, I think we can get 10 cents per bushel, the market is up and this season looks good."
At that very moment it hit Brian like a gallon of sweet sorghum, "I can be the farm reporter on the local radio station." That very next morning Brian Shook set out for town on his Fuji Bicycle to see his uncle who just so happened to be the radio stations van driver. Brian spent 3 months doing the local farm report and then one day it happened, he told a joke about a cow named "Harmilda" and the audience fell over in their easy chairs with laughter. He thought to himself "I can make people laugh and get paid to do it?" From that day forward Brian Shook has been making listeners laugh and fall over all over the world.
